Honey deserts and treats : Chocolate honey cookies

Chocolate honey cookies

Using your honey and your shortening, mix until they are creamy. Add you eggs. Melt your chocolate in the microwave, low heat for about twenty seconds and add to your mixture. Add your remaining ingredients and mix well. You can use oats, any type of nuts, dried berries, or coconuts in this mixture if you like.

Using a tablespoon, drop onto greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for ten minutes until lightly fluffy. Cool and frost or just eat!


Ingredients needed 
1 cup shortening
1 1/4 cup honey
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 large egg
1 oz. chocolate
1 1/2 cups oats (non instant)
1 cup nuts or coconut or dried apples
