Varieties of honey : Honeydew honey

Honeydew honey is a very special treat, only created in special areas of the world. From the Alsace pine tree an insect will use the sap from this particular tree to make honeydew. From this honeydew, the bees collect the nectar like materials and make honey from this honeydew remains. The honey that is made from the bees collecting the nectar for the insects is a thick rich and dark honey that is very different in taste from many other types of honey.

This honey is considered to be a specialty or a delight in some areas of the world because of its taste and because it's rarity.
